Sacred Heart Catholic School is now approved for pre‑accreditation through the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation (WRISA). This important step allows our families to apply for the Wisconsin School Choice Program, which may fully cover the cost of tuition for qualifying students. We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to supporting families through each step of the process.
What is the School Choice Program?
The Wisconsin School Choice Program allows eligible families to open enroll their children into a participating private school, transferring the state‑allocated educational funds assigned to each child.
How it works:
- Every child in Wisconsin is assigned a designated amount of taxpayer dollars for their education from 4K through high school graduation.
- These funds typically stay with the child’s public school district of residence.
- Through School Choice, qualifying families may direct those funds to Sacred Heart Catholic School, allowing us to receive the paired educational support for each enrolled child.
- In many cases, these funds have the capacity to fully cover tuition.

How to Apply
Families interested in applying for the Wisconsin School Choice Program should:

- Click the “Apply” button at the top of the page
- Review the FAQ Page for Parents
- Select “All choice programs at a glance” to confirm eligibility
- Complete the Private School Choice Program Application for 2026–27 during one of the enrollment periods:

Required Documentation
After submitting your online application, please bring the following to the Sacred Heart School office:
- Proof of income (e.g., income statement)
- Proof of residency (e.g., utility bill, updated driver’s license)
Our staff will review and approve documentation before forwarding it for final determination. Reviewing must be completed within the enrollment window. If you're submitting paperwork within the final few days of the enrollment period, we recommend you wait until the following period.
At any point in the process, you may go ahead and complete our enrollment paperwork. When your School Choice application is accepted, it will be applied to your tuition.
