Montessori
Montessori at Sacred Heart Catholic School blends hands-on, child-led learning with a Christ-centered environment, encouraging students to grow in independence while rooted in faith. The Montessori method nurtures curiosity, responsibility, and respect, while Catholic values guide moral development, prayer, and service. Together, they form a holistic education that cultivates all aspects of the child's human person.
Catechism of the Good Shepherd
Atrium: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd offers children a sacred space to encounter God through Scripture, liturgy, and hands-on materials. Rooted in Montessori principles, it invites them to listen deeply to the voice of the Good Shepherd, fostering prayer, wonder, and a personal relationship with Christ. This approach nurtures both faith and understanding, helping children grow spiritually in the heart of the Church.
Elementary-Middle Religion
Elementary–Middle Religion at Sacred Heart Catholic School immerses students in Scripture, Church teaching, and prayer, guiding them to live out their faith in daily life. Lessons foster moral development, sacramental understanding, and a spirit of service, helping students grow in both knowledge of the faith and a personal relationship with Christ. In addition, Father Matthew leads a special Friday class for middle schoolers focused on critical thinking in religion, encouraging students to ask deep questions, engage thoughtfully with their faith, and develop skills for discerning truth in the modern world.
