Focus on Prayer & the Sacraments

At Sacred Heart Catholic School, the life of faith is woven into each day through a deep love for the sacraments. Students attend Mass twice a week and on every feast day, grounding their learning in the Eucharist. On First Fridays, all students receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and candidates prepare for First Communion and Confirmation right here at school.

Our days begin in schoolwide prayer in the lobby and end with schoolwide monthly devotions, both led by Father Matthew. Every Friday, we end our school week in Adoration, and we focus weekly on a scripture verse to open every class along with prayer. The Angelus is prayed after every lunch period, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy is offered during the 3 o’clock hour in after‑school enrichment, and the rosary is offered during each daily Mass time when Father Matthew is out.
This rhythm of prayer and sacramental life forms our students not only in knowledge, but--most importantly--in a living relationship with Christ and His Church.
